The Therapeutic Process

I offer prospective clients a psychological assessment. This allows the development and understanding  of your experiences, whilst giving us the opportunity of considering whether we wish to work together. It is important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. We would then agree upon an approximate amount of sessions. There is no obligation for you to attend these sessions.

Professional Accountability

I am Accredited and Registered with

• The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

• EMDR Europe National EMDR Association  UK and Ireland 

• Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

All my practise is insured for Professional and Public Liability and I have ongoing DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.

Confidentiality

The trust between you and myself is vital to the success of the therapeutic process. I treat all information as confidential.  I follow strict data protection in accordance with ICO. This includes the safe storage of all forms of communication. The only circumstances whereby information may be shared, is in the event of an individual being a danger to themselves or others. Please note I do not provide an urgent response to anyone experiencing an immediate concern to their risk. I advise you access your GP or attend A+E

Location

My comfortable and private therapy room is based at a small quiet and friendly Physiotherapist - Saddleworth Physiotherapist Clinic- www.saddleworthphysio.co.uk  based in the village of Uppermill in Oldham. The village is on the edge of the Pennines and borders Yorkshire and Tameside. My clinic room has a welcoming and confidential receptionist and a private waiting area. There is free parking (up to three hours) in the opposite museum carpark.

My clinic and therapy building has had a full adhered to risk assessment, relating to the management of Corona Virus.

Fees

• I Charge individuals £100 an hour. This for either an assessment or treatment session

Children

•  I offer therapy to Teenagers and Older Children.
